About our founder: Carol Schillios |
The Foundation formed in 2002, is a 501(c)3 non-profit international development foundation. Its primary purpose is to support cooperative development projects that directly impact the quality of life for families in developing countries. The SDF supports three primary activities: micro-credit programs for micro-entrepreneurs, increasing access to education and increasing access to affordable health care.
The Foundation philosophy is to support partnerships that focus on the cooperative principles of self help, building financial stability, education, non-discrimination, social responsibility and cooperation among cooperatives.
The Foundation is not currently accepting grant proposals for additional projects. If you want to become involved in our current projects please contact Carol Schillios.
